COMPULSORY GEAR

Safety First. No Exceptions.

Mountain trail running is an unpredictable sport that takes you into extreme, isolated terrain. Because of this, our compulsory gear rules are absolute, non-negotiable, and strictly enforced in the best interest of everyone involved—runners, medics, and crew alike. Our safety measures mirror international premium benchmarks to ensure you are fully protected out on the peaks.

Dynamic Gear Requirements

We collaborate closely with local authorities, environmental agencies, and safety experts to monitor conditions leading up to the event. The final compulsory and recommended gear list is dictated by the actual, real-time weather outlook.

Depending on the forecast, we will activate one of three protocols:

  • Normal Weather Scenario

  • Cold Weather Scenario

  • Hot Weather Scenario

Critical Dates & Enforcement

  • The Final Decision: The exact weather scenario and final gear requirements will be officially announced on the Wednesday before the race at 10:00 AM via our social media channels and detailed in the official athlete race brief emailed directly to you.

  • Registration Gear Check: A physical gear check is mandatory for every single runner during registration. You must pass this inspection to be eligible to collect your race bib and start the event.

  • What to Display: A precise breakdown of exactly which gear items you need to layout and present to our marshals at registration will be clearly outlined in your athlete race brief.
