ABOUT P2P ULTRA

The P2P Ultra is as honest as mountain running gets. It starts with a pre-dawn climb over Groenberg before dropping into the heart of the Bainskloof Valley - and your first available crewing point at Welvanpas Aid Station.

Then comes one of the biggest tests: Geelbekskop, better known to locals as Cliffhanger. In reverse. The climb is steep, the descent fast and flowy. The reward? 360-degree views like nowhere else, including Table Mountain on a clear day.

From there, the trail winds across the slopes of the Hawequa Mountains, past the Scouts Hut, before a technical descent toward Brooklyn Bridge and a crossing over the Spruit River. Du Toitskloof Aid Station is up next - your second and final crewing point - before one last climb... Krom River Dome, the highest point in the race.

On the way back, a cold plunge in the Kromriver and a second visit to the Kromriver Hut Aid Station might be the only thing keeping your legs alive for the final stretch as you descend to Happy Valley making your way back to Bainskloof Pass. Tough. Unforgettable.
